You cannot be grounded! It’s the season for hammock fun!

Our tri-color has a weird thing in his coat. It doesn’t cause him pain, but is as long and round as a pencil sticking out from his skin. When I have removed it twice, it comes back, but again doesn’t hurt him. Is there anything that you know of that is a skin condition that collies get?
I have never heard of this before. I wish I could supply you with some answers. What did the vet say about it? Where is it located?
It is just beyond the collar but doesn’t seem to be caused by the collar at. We will need to take him to the vet now because it keeps coming back, though if you spread it apart it is crumbly. Weird. It would almost seem to be a seepage of some sort, but there’s no lump, no discomfort. So time for a doc call.
Let us know what you find out…
