Branwen and more

Niamh’s Misty Meadow Branwen Brandy, was born on January 8, 2007 at 5:30 pm..  She was the first born of 11 puppies, 9 of which survived. NIAMH’S MISTY MEADOW BRANWEN is the daughter of the beautiful Red Fern Anya and our wonderful Tapderro’s Black Majesty (Trevor).   We saw her for the first time on January 17th, the day before what would’ve been our Niamh’s tenth birthday.  The picture to the right (click on for full size) is of Brandy in my hands.  When I first held her, she sniffed my hands and then as I held her closely she sniffed my face and snuggled down into my hands and briefly went to sleep.  Then, as I stroked her chin she suckled my finger and as I sat her up this picture was taken.  She is a beautiful lil girl.  Her name, which mean white raven in Welsh, took on a special meaning as she has a white marking on her body that looks like a white bird in flight.  We want to thank our friend at Red Fern Farms for making this all possible.  A big thanks to Trevor and Anya and especially to God for this special lil puppy.   Below you will see a picture of Branwen and I when we first met….   Sunday cannot come fast enough. I am fidgeting waiting for the Reds to take on Manchester City.  Their fate is in their hands.  Myself, I can;’t wait to get it over with…. this is such a huge game… – – – GO YOU REDS!!!! – – – – – – – – –

Collies Cheer and Dad Celebrates!!!

Hats off to Wet Ham.. they threw everything they had at Liverpool today.  They made it tough and the Reds rose to the occasion taking away a 2-1 win that keep them in first place in the Premier League.   IT is their 7th straight win and 9 wins in their last ten games.  What a roll!  Next week Manchester City comes to Anfield, home of the Reds next week!  It is now make or break time with 5 games left!

BUt, back to the game. West Ham came out throwing everything at the Reds and it took a while but the Reds began to click.  The pressure built and built and finally… at 44 minutes my favorite Reds Steven Gerrard had a penalty shot and he made the most of it! 1-0 Reds!!!!!

However, West Ham wasn’t lying down and they battled back and three minutes later during the injury time added on they tied it up with a shot from Demel.

The second half came and back and forth it went but then just before halfway through the second half Liverpool began to dominate… and at 71 minutes Liverpool, despite many chances had another penalty opportunity to score.  My heor, Steven Gerrard stepped up and well.. let the video speak for me…

Nothing better than a win where your favorite scores both  goals!!! YAY!!!!

West Ham gave it all they had up to the end, but Liverpool kept up the pressure and kept trying to put the ball in till the end.  It was an exciting finish, but the Reds finish the day on top by two points!!!

SATURDAY!!!!

As the collies eat there supper tonight I see that at 11 am EST on http://talksport.com/ Liverpool can be heard going into West Ham to try to keep their lead of the Premier League intact.  If you go to the above link you can listen to the game by clicking on the Liverpool game button.  At the bottom you will see the standings or TABLES as it is called in England of the Premier League.  There is only 6 games left.. 5 after tomorrow so this game is mighty important.  Chelsea who is in second place and Manchester City who is in 3rd are coming to Anfield the home of the Reds in the final six games so the Reds have their fate in their own hands now.

Lots Going On!

With the collies keeping me busy, restoring the old tractors, church and raising a family with a full-time job is keeping me busy I am busy writing again. This time is is for a cause dear to my heart.  I have had several articles accepted for their national paper and may have a something big to announce here in the future.  If this happens I will be deeply honored to serve and help out but I am being cryptic for a reason here.

So, my full plate might get fuller, but that is good for an active life keeps me from doing things out of boredom that I don;t kneed to do…..

So, watch here for future announcements…

 

Today the temps started out at 50 and dove to 34 with a strong cold wind.  So, the collies and I played hard when we came home but not for as long as I like to.  It was just too cold.  But, they were watching for the squirrel in the back collie yard and the squirrel was up front robbing the bird feeder!

4-0 and On Top!

See our first post today about Lil Hallie for our all collie post…. 🙂

What a game! The Reds came out firing and didn’t stop the whole game. The Hotspurs were on their heels most of the match and could not mount a sustained attack at anytime.  It was a huge win by the Reds and Anfield was rocking from the get go.  The collies and I cheered till our voices were shot and we kept cheering!  Don’t look now but guess who is on top of the Premier League!  Thats right the Liverpool Reds!  We love it…. I can;t believe it and with Chelsea and Manchester City having to come to Anfield in the last 6 games the Reds destiny is truly in their hands.

Looks like we weren’t the only ones excited.

2 minutes in a shot went off a Hotspur player and the Reds led 1-0 and Anfield which is always loud exploded!  The roar was deafening and from then on the followers went crazy.

Red? Reds!!!! What do you think?

For our pure collie post check our earlier post from today about Lil Hallie. 🙂

Right now , after a productive morning of working on the tractors, we are listening to Liverpool on the net.  2 minutes in and the Reds go up on a goal shot that bounced off a Tottenham defender!  1-0 the Reds lead and now they are on the attack again as the crowd roars in Anfield!  A tie puts them in first place in a tie with Chelsea but the Reds would win the Title…. a win puts them up by two points over Chelsea and in the driver’s seat for the Championship with Chelsea and Manchester City coming to Anfield in the closing games.  The crowd is roaring… I am trying to keep occupied for I am a wreck for I want them to win so badly.. heheheh

Today as I cleaned up the other wheel to paint I found the original Flambeau Red under the other layers of paint….. I put the repainted lug nut in to show you how close it is in color. Now, the wheel is Flambeau Red  and the lug nut is Power Red. Of course I use “red” only because Case did.    Power Red is a shade lighter than Flambeau Red and even more orange.  I like FLambeau Red better but I remember all the Case tractors when I was a kid.  You see, Flambeau red faded badly…. worse than any other tractor colors.  When it faded it turned….  PINK!!!!  Well, I thought long and hard about the paint.. I don’t care for power red as much, however, it doesn’t fade.  Plus, it is more Orange and with my Allis’ it sort of matches them more.  So, take a look and see what you think…

 

***UPDATE***  Liverpool 2-0 lead and the Reds are heading towards first place!!!!  Anfield is rocking and so is our home… GO REDS!!!!!  Luis Suarez scores the goal!!!!

If you look at the wheel you will see the upper left is more red… the wheel curves and the light angle is different…. where the lug nut is is also flambeau red at the same angle… how close is that shade?  Then look inside the curve of the center of the wheel.. same color but it really looks red…. as you can see it looks different in the same light with just different angles….

Go With Lil Hallie

Hi!

I am Lil Hallie and Dad took time out to take me for a walk today.  It was about 41 degrees with bright sunshine and lots of snow on the ground yet.  It actually looked like February out there instead of almost April.

Lets go this way!   Wheeeee!!!!  Look at all that snow.  I am not very tall and this snow is soft and deep… whew.. lots of work!

Custer’s Hill still has lots of snow on it I see…..we had fun climbing up there and the view was fantastic, although it showed how much snow there really is. But, tomorrow it will be in the 50’s and then Monday near 60.  So, hopefully the snow will go down a lot.

Whew.. look at all this snow.  Pretty, but it takes a lot of energy to walk with snow up to your knees…

The Creek is overflowing and running fast for normal… but it is cool to see…

So, that was our trip today…. we saw ducks and geese but dad didn’t get the camera out fast enough.  But, I loved my ride and walk and it was fun to spend time with dad although the walk, with all that soft deep snow made it a lot of work.

In a few hours Liverpool will take the field at Anfield and with a tie or a win they go into first place in the Premier League!  We are ready and revved up waiting for the Reds to take the pitch and hopefully smash their way to victory!!! GO REDS!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dad was working on his tractor when he came in and looked at the scores…. he couldn’t believe his eyes! Chelsea lost to Crystal Palace!!!  A tie puts the Reds in first and if they win they go into first alone!  YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!  Just stunning…. is all Dad could say.  Thats a big understatement by the guy who could go on forever about the Reds!  But, he is grinning and we just heard him out in the garage with the wire wheel going whiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrr and singing against the metal with a long, loud MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA in the background.  Then we heard something about Chelsea looking like a wire brush hit them when they come to Anfield…..  perhaps he was just saving it all up inside…

So, this means tomorrow we collies get to whoop it up loud and long with no shhhhhhh….. As we run around in the yard we are enjoying a cloudy, near 40 degree day and waiting for dad who wore out one of his wire brushes on his side grinder today taking off paint.  He is doing some painting then we get to play… and walk! 🙂
