Half of our Yard is now solid ice from the collies running over it with the weather we have been having. So, we are having a lot of fun sliding across the ice. I toss the toys and the collies chase them and slide right on past them on the ice. Ellie, who you see to the left decided to join in on a certain type of fun that has originated with Rutherford and Walter a couple of years ago. I call it the body bump. Two collies will run at each other and then jump up in the air and bump their sides together mid-air and then fall to the ground and run off barking. Well, Ellie decided today to do it for the first time. She and Walter participated, now Walter weighs around 70-75 pounds and Ellie 45 at the most and she is short, petite and her body is half the length. So, the run across the ice and leap and hit….. Walter drops to the ground and runs off. Ellie however flies about ten feet through the air in the opposite direction and then proceeds to slide another ten feet on the ice on her side. Now, I almost swallowed my tongue thinking she was going to get killed, but she came to a stop got up on her feet and ran off barking like a fool grinning…… wanting to do it again…. sigh… crazy collies!

I should be in the ice show!!!! 🙂
That is the craziest game I ever heard of!! Those collies are so silly!
I have to say, I don’t miss that kind of weather. I’m glad the collies are enjoying it.
That sounds like a fun game. The closest I get to sliding is across the kitchen floor when I lose my footing.
Oh my …I WOULD have swallowed my tongue. That Ellie is a beautiful gal.
I’m laughing my butt off just picturing it and my cat Ike The Terrible is looking at me like I’m totally nuts. Thanks for brightening my day.
