Just Another Day

With the winter storms raging all around us for the past week we ended up with around three inches of snow while a few mile away they had over a foot and just a short distance more two feet.  Dad wasn’t going to plow except now the weather forecast says a short warm spell with rain is coming. Those that live in snow areas know that means thawing ground, melting snow with freezing overnight.  In other words the driveway becomes goo track and gets ruts and becomes a mess unless dad plows away all the snow…. so he did so we will be ready for the thaw and rain. Sometimes mom slips and falls in the mud and while dad laughs about it, he does try to not let the driveway get slippery….. hmmmm wonder where Ginger is going with that bucket of water?

As the old tractor growled and rumbled across the driveway like the snow wasnt there we collies watched with interest.  As  he rumbled on down the road to plow the neighbor’s drive we took a snooze.  Glad we are collies and dont have to work like that… sigh…-

When dad got back we went out and played running and barking and playing with our toys and dad for over a hour. What a lot of fun we had!

Then we came in and dad turned on WFUO and we heard about Martin Luther.  Interesting how dad loves those thundering defiant ppl of the past.  Luther reminds us a little bit like dad.. well not that dad is religious like Luther, but the thundering defiant part… hehehehe  and liking beer, sausage and sauerkraut….  -

by the way did you know collies love sauerkraut?  That is until a few hours later when we launch a gas attack against dad …. muwahahaha  yes, that was another Ginger idea.
