We love this blog for it is all about loving dogs and all animals and how to take better care of them. Deanna rescued all her babies and we are big supporters of no-kill rescue shelters and of people adopting homeless and unwanted animals. Here at the Meadow, many of our collies were brought here for the owners were looking for a new home for them. We took them in for we love collies above all and we have rescued many cats including four kittens who were born in our yard by a Mommy cat who disappeared before we found them. So, we love Loveofmydogs. Please visit them and say hello!
7 things about ourselves
1. Every Cat at the Meadow was either rescued at the animal shelter or rescued off the street! If my count is right we have rescued 13 cats through the years.
2. While we do limited breeding of our collies most of our dogs and collies have been taken in from other homes through the years when their owners wanted to find them new homes.
3. We have a annual trip to doggie beach every year so the collies can play in the surf and the sand.
4. Ellie weighs under 45 pounds while Mick weighs almost 120 pounds!
5. Half of our collies are Tri-Colors
6. Ginger is the daughter of Trisha a daughter of our Hallie. Her father Brighton is descended from Ch. The Meadows Notorious (We are Niamh’s Misty Meadow, the Meadows is a different place… ) and that is the daddy of another collie we had, Sadie. Now what are the chances of that coming together in Georgia so far from where we live?
7. When I was a child, my favorite TV show was… what else… Lassie!!!!
8. Bonus Information…. We used to ask our collies “Timmy in the Well?” when we wanted to let them go out and go potty. It used to get a lot of laughs when we would say that and the collies would bounce around and bark! hehehehe…. when Niamh died we stopped saying it… no one knows why…..
Here is the Part we love!
We are going to give the Versatile Blogger Award and The Collies Choice Award to a wonderful blog from the Philippines! It is a wonderful blog about life in the countryside of the Philippines and it stars Twinkle and her babies, Vanilla Bean, Cassie, Keanna and Princess. It is cool to see their everyday life and learn about the Philppines! We enjoy this blog very much and we give them the Versatile and Collies Choice Award!

Congrats Collies and Chuck, your blog really deserves this award! We loved hearing about your own commitment to adoption- Harley was rescued from a retired breeder
We look forward to checking out your award recipient, too.
God Bless!
Hi!
We are glad you liked hearing about our adoptions. We breed very limited for we want to keep babies of our Hallie and Trevor. But, a full 90% of all the many animals we have had have been adopted. We always urge others to do so.
Thank you!!!
God Bless You!

Congratulations on your award – and a good choice for passing it on to. My person loved hearing about all the kitties you’ve rescued (she likes cats – I think she’s a traitor).
